Stone remains one of the most sustainable, versatile and durable materials available to us and, properly maintained, its lifespan and aesthetic quality is unrivalled. Our experienced technicians offer excellent understanding in the latest sympathetic cleaning & maintenance techniques and can recommend and employ a range of methods. By carrying out controlled exemplar samples, the most responsive, least intrusive method can be readily determined and the results can breathe new life into tired building interiors and exteriors.

Equally where stone restoration and/or repairs are required, these can be undertaken by our skilled masons and restorers who are able to sympathetically blend matching materials, products and styles to ensure a seamless repair with the same performance & weathering characteristics as the original fabric.

In addition, we are adept at the alteration and modification of natural stone facades and are experienced in providing advice on BREEAM requirements and targets. With an enviable portfolio of completed works, including The National Portrait Gallery, the Drapers’ Hall and Dixon House, our team have delivered many highly sympathetic & successful modification and alteration schemes. Where listed status requires, our specialists are able to retain & restore original features, reconfiguring elements to expertly blend old with new and our works often involve the re-use and recycling of natural stone, with salvaged material able to be adapted, modified and/or re-purposed.

Restore London are also responsible for the construction of many new build natural stone facades such as The Sainsbury wing of the National Gallery, Oriana, Oxford Street and Victoria Island. We have overseen the design of numerous complex stone fixing systems and provided innovative design solutions. Experienced in managing the often-complex design interfaces, manufacture, & installation of natural stone, our knowledgeable team have delivered truly spectacular new build projects over the years.
